Patriots... The National Basketball Association has been transformed into a political action committee by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver (Democrat.) Campaigning for Joe Biden. In addition, the following companies worked on Joe Biden's behalf, fund raised and campaigned for the Democrat party, BLM and other far left activist organizations. Hit them where it counts! worst defence ever on DG. OMFG. are they even looking at scouting reports! jezus man. You have 2 or 3 guys to watch beyond the arc on this Sixers team. Very bad from a Lakers standpoint. Sixers did what was needed. Took an easy win from an increasingly pathetic Lakers team. Sad to see this kind of basketball. Its always the same on Lebrons teams. If he isn't there, here is nothing left. Don't get me wrong i Love Lebron. But hate to see this game......PFFFFF

Idk the love the Lakers have for kuzma. He’s somehow going to demand a 100 million dollar contract. I would of traded him for a player like odalipo that’s averaging 20 points per game coming off injury. With the promise of resigning of course. You have a mini big 3 there. You don’t lose much since kuzma is ultra inconsistent and weak minded. Same with Michael porter JR. I would trade him for Zach Lavigne if bulls were dumb enough to do that.

Interesting how if you don't run offensive plays for outside shooters and resort to a static offense and a bunch of last second out of rhythm 3s mixed in, you don't get the same results other teams get from the exact same shooters, that LA fans claim can't shoot, when they on the Lakers, but are amazing shooters elsewhere, that LA fans claim we need. Danny Green can't shoot they said. Danny Green is washed up they said. Here is 8/12, go home now, said Danny Green. When I told everyone it was the system and the lack of screen setting, plays run for shooters and the complete inability of Avery Bradley to pass the basketball, everyone was quick to tell me, that I don't understand basketball. If I were Danny Green I would have never been this professional. I would have voiced my anger very directly. Avery Bradley and the LA non-offense almost killed Danny's career. But of course LA needs better shooters. Maybe Danny Green you guys? Matthews is bad and so is KCP? No they are not. Oh yeah, also Svi can shoot. Even Lonzo Ball can shoot. So you guys want to get him now instead of Schröder? As soon as people join the Lakers they can't shoot any more. Or maybe it is something else? Muscala? No wait that guy can't shoot either, right? Daniels? Couldn't shoot. That guy with the big hair they got from Detroit couldn't shoot. Also Caruso can't shoot. Oh and Kuzma can't shoot. And I could go on and on and on. What is really going on here? Static offense. Front court players only set screens for the ball handler. The backcourt only guards the best shooter. Nobody gives Lakers any easy buckets. The paint stays clogged. THT and Schröder thus become ineffective. Kuzma will always suck as a PF. He still jogs around like a gazelle out there and is completely lost again. The Lakers tire themselves out on defense chasing the ball around. Then they improvise some nonsense on offense and someone takes an unexpected, unplanned shot. Rinse and repeat. When Gasol was hitting shots and was still taken somewhat seriously, AD and LeBron cut to the paint on every other possession, the Lakers led the league in 3 point shooting. The second Gasol falling apart became obvious and teams got back to walling off Davis and consistently pressuring LeBron while tiring the Lakers out with passing, ppg dropped from 120 to 100 and opponents point went from 105 to 115. They keep telling us the Lakers have the best defense. They clearly do not. They do challenge almost every shot and it's a testament to their character as a team, but their main problem has always been and is again this season, that they do not play the right players in the right line ups. They love playing 3 guards. By now everyone is tired. Either Vogel figures out how to integrate Cacok and leave Kuzma at the 3, or this secondary will never work. The problem never was the shooters on the team. It was always and will always be the system being run or better yet the lack thereof. Lakers always tire out and have 0 energy on offense. Everything is always 100% forced. Vogel needs to play Cacok and not as a center for 3 minutes either. He needs to put him in over Morris and let Kyle and KCP do what they do. Enough of this Kuzma at the 4 and KCP at the 3 stuff already. That failed 400 times already. It's not gonna work if you try it for the 401st time next game.

@Dark Side I know you are just kidding around really, but I'll answer this one. I am not that delusional. Firstly, I am sure noone on the Lakers expect for the players to continuously fall short of their own expectations. The players surely don't expect to be unable to convert their skills on the court. So the idea is far too often, what can a guy at their best provide that gets a position close as possible to the ideal under the system. That's why THT plays in a LeBron like role. That's why Kuzma is a ball handling forward that switches a lot on defense. That's why Schröder is running the pick and roll and telling people where to line up. That's why KCP and Matthews defend small forwards. At their best, these guys can make that work somehow. But almost everyone on the Lakers would be much better in very different roles. They are fitting the players to the system and not the system to the players. The coaching staff knows what they are doigg far better than I do, but I just want to see them actually trying in season. They are so focused on preventing injuries to important players, staying mobile and giving the players the possibility to figure out their chemistry among everyone, that losing has to be expected. The versatility is the big strength of this team, but they are playing the LeBron system without LeBron being on the court now. I don't see why they can't at least let some of the cat out of the bag or alternatively at least go to hungry lions that have barely any playing time. Cacok had a couple turnovers, took 2 bad shots and was out of position once in the few mintes they gave him, but also he had a steal and was finding out where to be and him and Trez were keeping people away from the hoop. LA was still even the whole time. Then Vogel goes back to 3 guards and a long stretch of Kuzma at the 4. Noone can put Kuz into position. He is tired as usual from PF work on defense. LA gets dunked on at will and they still can't get out to the shooters and suddenly LA is down by 30 points. Why do we always do this? We did that last year, too. I mean sure it's a great learning experience and puts pressure on Schröder, Kuzma and Trez to figure out their roles, but it kills confidence in THT, KCP, Morris and the entire non playing bench. It also tires the very people you need to lock down the shooting teams. How much energy will Matthews, KCP and Caruso have left at the end of this nightmare run? I understand that I don't have the full picture and there are good reasons to be doing what Vogel is doing, but at some point you have to play your wing and you have to let Cacok get comfortable. You lack defense in the zone, you lack off ball screens, you lack switchability in the front court, you lack rebounding, you lack pace. All these things you get from Cacok. But he made a few mistakes for the first time really and he is back on the bench. I don't like that. Did you know, that Cacok was in the top 3 PER of the entire team or that McKinney has some of the best ratings in the NBA in several categories? Of course not, because they only play 1 out of 10 games and only get a maximum of 5-7 minutes, every third time out, because Vogel keeps looking for chemistry among his short handed rotation, he wants to play later on. So no, the Lakers know what they are doing, but it is frustrating as hell to watch them struggle so hard, when they could field lineups that have a much more natural fit relatively easily and without adding many new players.

    • Peter Anders

That's not true. Vogel is just playing them the wrong way. They all tired as hell, too. Kyle Kuzma is a SF, who needs pace to thrive. Dennis is a ball hog and needs to fall back. We should never have 3 guards on the floor, when there are only 4(5) on the roster. The only person besides AD that can play PF is Trez. He is not a center. Schröder, Matthews, Kuzma, Cacok, Gasol Caruso, KCP, McKinney, Trez, Morris Sprinkle in some THT here and there.

    • Peter Anders

They have absolutely no size. Kyle Kuzma is 2 inches taller than the rest of the team. That's a problem. THT and Schröder have the same exact strengths. That's also a problem. Vogel doesn't know what a SF is. That is a also a problem. The Lakers can't pass and play only the pick and roll and they also fail at that. Without LeBron and AD the Lakers are looking like a .300 team at best.
